Inspired by the legendary paper sneaker maker Shin Tanaka, I decided to try my hand at making some paper dunks. Tell me what you think.

New stuff

Adidas Shelltoe (If you're wondering why purple, it's cause that's the only color i had left)

And now for the main event.

I used Coloring pencil (yeah, the coloring sucks) but the project itself was overall good. took more than 5 hours to draw out pieces, and put them together. the hardest part was the toebox. as you can see in the pics, it's not as well done as the other's.

Updated(as of 09/08/07). Probably the best one yet.

New Shit(09/10/07). Probably not gonna do another one for a while cause i got other shit to do. This is what the Jordan dunks should really look like. This is the nicest looking one ive made so far. I'm starting to tag my pics now because my shit is showing up on lots of sites.

I actually think I may have gotten worse just recently. maybe it's cause i've been making too many dunks recently.

Very cool and creative, I know its paper and I know its hard but try to make it so the toeboxs aren't as boxy and line up with the sole

I saw/tried the new tres on....Honestly if your going to skate them, your going to love them.... But for people like me who relied on it as a around the house shoe (with no laces almost like a slipper), these are a huge dissapointment.. they dont look good on the feet, the shoe looks very strange...

I haven't mastered making the toebox upper yet. I don't know how to make the curve properly. It took me bout 3-5 hours (one night, and the morning after). Don't worry, i DID sleep during this project. I didn't even have planning for it. I jus drew out shapes on white printer paper, glued them to construction paper to add support, then glued them together. I still need to know how to make a sole that curves. After that, I will have mastered the paper sneaker game lol.

yeah. these is too small. And besides, I don't have big enough paper to make big enough pieces.

if you want to make a better one, then read the stenciling guide in the pinned topics(mine) and stencil a shoe out. then you read the one-skin guide(just how to put it together) and try doing this again and you shouldnt have a problem with the toe box, make some more man ;]
