Update on 1/14/2006 - Please Review Before Posting

You are expected to read these rules before you post, regardless of the transaction(s), whether you are the buyer, seller, or looking to buy. WE ARE NOT a professional sales forum, many members from this site would be glad to help you, mods and admins alike as best we can. Although like yourselves we are people, people with jobs and responsibilities therefore we can not answer every PM or email we receive on a certain item regarding its legitimacy.

Having said that, we have already set up a W I D E array of topics to help you make judgement on what is legitimate and what is not. We have a whole Legit Check forum which is moderated by induviduals with a fair amount of knowledge regarding authenticity, although it is your OWN judgement that you should use when making a purchase, not theirs. This should be your first approach before contacting any on of us, to do your research there. It takes a couple minutes of your time in which we have already divulged for the benefit of helping you.

Our Buy/Sell/Trade Forum has become one of the more populated forums on our site. Many of you have had great transactions, while others have not got any business and fooled around with PM's back and forth. I appreciate the members that make use of the referance list pinned at the top. It does help members alike know who they can trust on the board, most of them are already well recongized on here to begin with.

Our staff overlooks the forum daily as it is one of the more lucrative forums to weed through. Some days easier than others. The best thing is the members who use the report button at the bottom rather than just add to the thread saying 'Your thread will be closed'. I am taking new steps to prevent this from happenning as it has become far to repetative.

From hear out, if you have less than 20 posts to your name/account and post a thread without pictures YOU WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED. Period, simple as that. There are many great sellers here who have 0 for a total post count or a couple that clearly understand the rules and abide by them to keep the forum going strong. If they understand, you should to, its not rocket science. Mods and Members alike - if you have over 20 post and have a B/S/T Thread that says what you are selling and 'pics will be up soon/15 minutes' you will A. Lose your mod privelages and access to B/S/T Forums B. Have your thread deleted. Simple as that.

I am growing tired of seeing this as it is far to often. If you don't physically have the item, you can sell it on some other place. We offer a service, a great one at that to avoid ebay cost and fees for our community. Although ultimatly you should always establish some formal contract or 'meeting of the minds' to any transaction. What tends to be upseting is to see people not take the time to look over the rules before posting. I will say it again NO PICS = BANNED for anyone with less than a 20 post count. To add to this, if I do research which I do, and find that your post are stupid one word/lame replies, you will be banned as well. Also if you are trying to sell something for a unreasonable amount don't let me catch it. Just have members PM you to talk. I dont want to see p-rods for $300 dollars on my boards, period. It disgust me to see people abuse the forums, when you have great people here that are just trying to help you out.

Shifting gears the foundation which this site was built on will be shaken or stirred with idiots/trolls from time to time. I encourage you to use the report thread button again to notify any members who are abusing the rules/privilages of this board. It will be directly sent to a moderator for immediate attention. I have appointed great moderators to take care of this responsiblilty, and I assure you they will handle every situtation that occurs to the best of their abilities. If you are dissatisfied with the result you are welcome to contact Sidious, IrisWildcat, or ShoeBetcha. Below are some following topics that will be pinned in this forum to simply your search.

Guide to Avoid Fakes and Frauds on eBay, etc!
Visual Fake Dunkpedia Guide
NSB.org Referance Thread - Members who have made deals with one another here.

What is accepted here/what is not :

In conclusion you are ripped off by some jackass, you have noone to blame but yourself. You must take responsiblity for your actions ! As much as we would like to have a forum with out con-artists, that would be impossible. You are dealing with strangers on the internet ! So instead here are some things to consider before making a deal with a fellow member.

1. Do some research, find out if any referances are available. Also, ask for pics of your name with the shoes, date, etc... I have found in many cases if it is a bigger hassle or a deal to good to be true, it usually is.

2. Before you purchase something from a members with 0 posts. Ensure yourself that they are a reputable source, via ebay feedback, etc..

3. Set up an auction on ebay with what you are trading. This way a legal binding contract will be established. As well NEVER ship first without receiving some form of payment ! If this is a trade for shoes, send one shoe at a time. As stupid as it sounds who will utilize a left shoe ? Has no value without the other.

4. In the situation you are ripped off, you can make *1* and only 1 thread about it in the B/S/T forums. If you choose to violate this rule, you choose to forfeit your account. What you are allowed to do is setup your feedback signature with fellow members that you may have had good deal or bad deal. This can help set up referances to future members wishing to use you as a referance as verification.

5- If you are selling an item on ebay, why don't you do us a favor and leave it on ebay. If you feel that you want to get some publicity to that ebay auction, this is not the spot to post it - DO NOT LINK TO THE EBAY AUCTION FOR YOUR ITEM ! Do this from here out your nice little thread will find some friends in the trash. This has now been revised, but with an added exception. You must list a picture in the post of the auction related to what your are selling, as well as a description. Ebay links alone will not be allowed and will be moved to the trash.

6- What you need to do when you sell an item is try to set a range of price as im looking $250+ for "your shoe here" shoot me a PM. If it is an unreasonable amount, I will delete it. In that instance stick to PMs for pricing.

7-
Throw us some pics and detailed pics at that, NO PICS = NO POST as well as a Possible Ban, period. Make your B/S/T Item you are selling with your Nikeskateboarding.org Handle (a.k.a your login name) visable in handwriting, no photoshop tricks. You can also now add your eBay handle in your profile, it will appear in your profile information of each post as well make it alot easier for members to see your feedback. Also, try to get two pictures per post of the item your selling... The more pictures, the better chance your item will sell, the people here are alot smarter than potential buyers on ebay, treat your B/S/T threads well, our members will respect your sales threads more.

8- If a members price is not what you like or you can get them from this person for $xx.xx price, good for them. Dont waste space by posting some negative comment on that members sale thread. If you find something to be suspicious or in violation of the rules, use the report button in the bottom left hand corner. I will deal with it accordingly.

9- Put in your title of the thread something like - WTB(Want to Buy), WTT(Want to Trade), FS(For Sale). Looking for Jedi's in an 8 or Selling Home Rayguns size 10. Stop making posts that don't have if you're buying or selling an item in the title, it will be deleted as well.

10- All pictures must be your property. Dont come in here saying your selling for your brother, foe, friend or confidone... You look stupid and your post will be closed.

11- Make your picture easily visable, camera phones are a lame excuse for selling fakes... If you have the money to purchase high priced dunks, then you have the money I'm sure for a decent digital camera.

12- Make the deal easier for the buyer, post all methods of contact you can on here. Don't divulge your life story, but save the member the hassle of just being able to contact you on these boards.

13- Keep the threads simple and clean and updated. One post per member per week should be suitable, the bigger your thread views are the more people it attracts.

14- Once your sell an item, please update your thread confirming the sale. This way a staff member can close it and move it to the trash.

15- Please keep your images below 500 pixels in width, if you dont know how to do so or what this means.. just place a link to your picture vs a huge images on our board.

*NOTE TO SCAMMERS* - Take this as your warning now, FAKES are not permitted in here and if you are caught selling them you will be banned from our community.

Do not PM myself or any of the staff on 'X' should be banned, ripped me off, didn't know the rules, etc.. melochy, these are the conditions of acceptable posting in our forum. Chew it up, its delicious...

Rule Update for 4-25-06 "Lowballing"

If a seller posts a clear asking price, don't post with an offer much less than that price, certain cases will get you a warning. (ex. if the seller is asking $150, don't post an offer of $70.)
* also, if an offer has been made, don't make a post offering less. Why would they sell it to you for less?

If a seller does NOT post a clear asking price, you are welcome to offer anything to that seller.

**NEW RULES ADDED OCTOBER 20th 2006**

Paper tagged pictures are REQUIRED! NO EXCEPTIONS!
  • You CANNOT use watermarks
  • You CANNOT use tags displayed on your monitor
  • You definitely CANNOT use little toys, figures, or anything of the sort to "represent" your name.
You MUST have "nsb.org" or "nsb" or "nikeskateboarding.org" on your tag as well.
We have had too many instances where people have stolen pictures from ebay or other forums.

You MUST include a date on your paper tag. If you use a specific card as a tag, write the date on another tag.
Because of the server mishap, we no longer have records of what items have been sold or what transactions have been placed. This is to prevent frauders from recycling old pictures of items that have already been sold.

(Repeat rule, that many seem to ignore)
You MUST provide at least 3 pictures of each shoe for sale. Group pictures are NOT allowed.
Here is a list of possible views that will be acceptable:
  • Side/general view of the shoe.
  • Inside tag
  • Back heel embroidery (applies to dunk lows and p-rods)
  • Boxlabel
  • Any other specific markings unique to the shoe (i.e. alien on rayguns, star on calis, jumpman on jordans, etc)
If there aren't enough pictures to determine that your shoes are legit, your post will be closed.
Multiple warnings regarding pictures and posting in the BST forum will result in suspension and possibly banishment.

THE REPORT BUTTON (is your friend)
Members are strongly encouraged to use the report button to report the following:
  • Revisions to the thread (but please don't ask us to change it every hour)
  • Closing a thread when all items are finished (please post who the items were sold to before reporting)
  • LOWBALLING
  • Arguing/crapping threads (quarrels will not be tolerated)
  • Suspicious fraudulent activity
